7230 - PUBLIC GIFTS TO THE CORPORATION

To be acceptable, a gift or donation must have a purpose consistent with those of the Corporation, be offered by a donor acceptable to the Board, and become Corporation property.

In addition, a gift or donation must not:

	A.	bring undesirable or hidden costs to the Corporation;

	B.	place restrictions on the Corporation;

	C.	be inappropriate or harmful to the educational program of the Corporation or to students;

	D.	imply endorsement of any business or product;

	E.	be in conflict with any provision of the General School Laws or public laws.

A letter of appreciation may be sent to the donor, including the estimated value of the gift.
